CLAIMS What is claimed is: 1. A three-dimensional article characterized in that the article comprises a structured cured varnish coating that is in direct contact with the surface of the article, wherein the structured cured varnish coating produces one or more visual effects. 2. The article of claim 1 , wherein the article is impact extruded. 3. The article of claim 1, wherein the article is integrally molded. 4. The article of claim 1 , wherein the article is an integrally molded container. 5. The article of claim 2, which is a container or tube. 6. The article of any one of claims 2-3, which is a consumer product or package or a component thereof. 7. The integrally molded container of claim 4, wherein the container has a fitment for a closure. 8. The article of any one of the prior claims, wherein the article includes at least one curved surface and at least a portion of the varnish coating is in direct contact with the curved surface. 9. The article of any one of the prior claims, wherein the article includes at least one ruled surface and at least a portion of the varnish coating is in direct contact with the ruled surface. 10. The article of any one of the prior claims, wherein the article includes at least one planar surface and at least a portion of the varnish coating is in direct contact with the planar surface. 11. The article of any one of the prior claims, wherein the article is selected from the group consisting of covers, caps, and lids. 12. The article of any one of the prior claims, wherein the structured cured varnish coating covers less than 80% of the surface of the article. 13. The article of any one of the prior claims, including one or more inks, in direct contact with the surface of the container.
