A processed paper for documents protected from being reproduced comprising a paper substrate 10 having a front surface, a colored ink layer 20 and a silvery ink layer 30 printed in a pattern of grain or mesh all over on the front surface of the paper substrate or on the colored ink layer. The silvery ink layer may comprise a uniform distribution of narrowly spaced small diameter circles. The aluminium particles of the silvery ink layer may be protected from oxidation by a transparent overlying resin layer 40. The color of the ink layer 20 may be orange, brown or red.

4 CLAIMS:
0 1. Paper comprising paper substrate carrying on one side thereof a reflective ink layer and a coloured ink layer, the reflective ink layer comprising layer portions distributed overthe area of the substrate and being exposed to incident light.
2. Paper according to claim 1 wherein a layer or coatingapplied on top of the reflective ink layer is transparent, whereby the reflective ink layer is exposed to incident light.
3. Paper according to claim 1 or claim 2 wherein the coloured ink layer is transparent and applied over the reflective ink layer which is applied directly to the substrate.
4. Paper according to claim 1 or claim 2 wherein the coloured. ink layer is adjacent the substrate, the reflective ink layer. being applied to the colour ink layer and covered by a coating of transparent ink.
5. Paper according to any preceding claims wherein the distribution of reflective ink layer portions is in the form of a grain-like or mesh-like pattern.
6. A processed paper for documents protected from being reproduced, said processed paper comprising a paper substrate having a front surface, and orange, brown or red coloured ink layer printed all over on said front surface and a silvery ink layer printed in a pattern of grain or mesh all over on said t coloured ink layer.
7 7. A processed paper for documents protected from being reproduced as claimed in claim 6, further comprising a surface coating agent layer printed all over on said silvery ink layer.
8. A processed paper for documents protected from being reproduced, said processed paper comprising a paper substrate having a front surface, a silvery ink layer printed in a pattern of grain or mesh all over on said front surface and an orange, brown or red coloured transparent ink layer printed all over on said silvery ink layer.
9. Paper constructed and arranged substantially as hereinbef ore described with reference to and as illustrated in Figure 1 or Figure 2 of the accompanying drawings.
