摘要:
An eaves vent (10, Fig.1), for providing 2 different ventilation opening sizes to the eaves of a building, having a vent portion (12) and a support tray (14) mountable to a fascia board 38. The vent portion is formed of first and second rows (22,24, Fig.8) of pins 26,28 which are fixed to the support tray 14. The rows of pins 22,24 serve as respective first and second ventilation opening forming portions. Pins in each row are spaced apart from each other allowing airflow between them, providing ventilation, but blocking large insects & animals. Positioning members 30 provide two flat fascia engaging surfaces A, B for spacing the tray upper surface from the fascia, which are separated from each other by a pair of pins 36 serving as locating means; when the fascia 38 is engaged with surface A, it abuts pins 36 from an opposite direction from when it engages surface B. The system combines and eaves vent, an eaves support tray and preferably an eaves comb (18) into one apparatus. Also claimed is a method of additive manufacture.

权利要求:
CLAIMS: 1. An eaves vent for attachment to a fascia board comprising: a support tray, a vent portion having at least two ventilation opening forming portions, first and second surfaces offset from each other and each suitable for engaging a top surface of a fascia board, and locating means for locating the fascia board on the first and second surfaces in first and second engagement positions, respectively, wherein, when the first surface engages the fascia board in the first engagement position a first ventilation opening is formed by a first of the ventilation opening forming portions, and when the second surface engages the fascia board in the second engagement position a second ventilation opening is formed by a second of the ventilation opening forming portions, wherein the ventilation when the first ventilation opening is formed is less than the ventilation when the second ventilation opening is formed, and wherein the locating means is arranged so that the fascia board abuts the locating means from different directions in the first and second engagement positions. 2. The eaves vent of claim 1 wherein the different directions are opposite directions. 3. The eaves vent of claim 1 or 2 wherein the first ventilation opening is smaller than the second ventilation opening. 4. The eaves vent of claim 3 wherein the first ventilation opening size is at least 10,000 mm#m length of the eaves vent and the second ventilation opening size is at least 25,000 mm?%m length of the eaves vent. 5. The eaves vent of any previous claim wherein the first and second surfaces are at an obligue angle to the support tray and substantially parallel to each other. 6. The eaves vent of any previous claim having a gutter facing side and a roof interior facing side, wherein the second surface is nearer to the roof interior facing side than the first surface. 7. The eaves vent of any previous claim wherein the locating means is positioned between the surfaces. 8. The eaves vent of any previous claim wherein the locating means comprises at least one projection positioned between the surfaces. 9. The eaves vent of any previous claim further comprising a fixing hole or holes adjacent to each of the surfaces, the fixing hole or holes being suitable for receiving a fastener to fix either one of the surfaces against the fascia board. 10. The eaves vent of claim 9 wherein the fixing hole or holes include a fixing hole or hole positioned on the support tray. 1. The eaves vent of any previous claim further comprising an eaves comb. 12. The eaves vent of claim 11 wherein the eaves comb comprises a plurality of flexible projections which project substantially perpendicularly to the support tray. 13. The eaves vent of claim 11 or 12 wherein the support tray is positioned between the eaves comb and the vent portion. 14. The eaves vent of any previous claim wherein the first ventilation opening forming portion comprises a plurality of first spaced-apart pins, and the second ventilation opening forming portion comprises a plurality of second spaced-apart pins. 15. The eaves vent of claim 14 wherein the first pins are shorter than the second pins. 16. The eaves vent of claim 14 or 15, wherein the first and/or second pins are arranged in at least two rows, and the pins in one row are staggered with respect to the pins in another row. 17. The eaves vent of any previous claim further comprising a positioning means which has the first and second surfaces. 18. The eaves vent of claim 17 wherein the positioning means comprises a positioning member which has a chamfered corner adjacent to the second surface to guide the fascia board onto the second surface. 19. The eaves vent of any previous claim wherein the top side of the support tray has markings to indicate the position of the fascia board in the first and/or second engagement positions. 20. A computer readable medium having stored thereon computer executable instructions that, when executed by a processor, cause the processor to control an additive manufacturing device to manufacture the eaves vent of any preceding claim. 21. A method of manufacturing a device via additive manufacturing, the method comprising: obtaining an electronic file representing at least the surface configuration of product, wherein the product is an eaves vent according to any one of claims 1 to 19; and controlling an additive manufacturing device to manufacture, over one or more additive manufacturing steps, the product according to the surface configuration specified in the electronic file. CLAIMS: 1. An eaves vent for attachment to a fascia board comprising: a support tray, a vent portion having at least two ventilation opening forming portions, a positioning means having first and second surfaces offset from each other, the first surface being closer to the support tray than the second surface, each of the first and second surfaces being suitable for engaging a top surface of a fascia board, and locating means, positioned between the first and second surfaces, for locating the fascia board on the first and second surfaces in first and second engagement position, respectively, wherein, when the first surface engages the fascia board in the first engagement position a first ventilation opening is formed by a first of the ventilation opening forming portions between the support tray and the fascia board, and when the second surface engages the fascia board in the second engagement position a second ventilation opening is formed by a second of the ventilation opening forming portions between the support tray and the fascia board, wherein the first ventilation opening is smaller than the second ventilation opening, and wherein the locating means is arranged so that the fascia board abuts the locating means from different directions in the first and second engagement positions. 2. The eaves vent of claim 1 wherein the different directions are opposite directions. 3.
