A method of assembling a fuel nozzle (100) comprises the steps of forming a pilot assembly (607); coupling the pilot assembly (607) to a Lmitary distributor (300) such that the pilot assembly (607) is in flow communication with a pilot flow passage in the Lunitary distributor; coupling a unitary swirler (200) having an adaptor (250) to the unitary distributor (300); coupling the adaptor (250) to a stem housing (83); coupling the unitary distributor (300) to the stem housing (83); and coupling a centerbody (450) to the stem housing (83).

WHAT IS CLAIMED IS: 1. A method of assembling a fuel nozzle 100 comprising the steps of: forming a pilot assembly 607; coupling the pilot assembly 607 to a unitary distributor 300 such that the pilot assembly 607 is in flow communication with a pilot flow passage in the unitary distributor; coupling a unitary swirler 200 having an adaptor 250 to the unitary distributor 300; coupling the adaptor 250 to a stem housing 83; coupling the unitary distributor 300 to the stem housing 83; and coupling a centerbody 450 to the stem housing 83. 2. A method of assembling a fuel nozzle 100 according to claim 1 further comprising the step of coupling a unitary venturi 500 to the unitary distributor 300 and the unitary swirler 200. 3. A method of assembling a fuel nozzle 100 according to claim 2 further comprising the step of coupling the stem housing 83 to a valve housing 99. 4. A method of assembling a fuel nozzle 100 according to claim 1 wherein the step of forming a pilot assembly 607 comprises the step of coupling a fuel swirler 603 to a primary orifice 606. 5. A method of assembling a fuel nozzle 100 according to claim 4 wherein the step of coupling a fuel swirler 603 to a primary orifice 606 is done by brazing. 6. A method of assembling a fuel nozzle 100 according to claim 1 wherein the step of coupling the pilot assembly 607 to a unitary distributor 300 comprises brazing using a braze material 613 in a preformed braze-groove 612 located in the unitary distributor 300. 7. A method of assembling a fuel nozzle 100 according to claim 1 wherein the step of coupling the pilot assembly 607 to a unitary distributor 300 comprises brazing using a braze material in a preformed braze-groove located in the pilot assembly 607. 8. A method of assembling a fuel nozzle 100 according to claim 1 wherein the step of coupling a unitary swirler 200 to the unitary distributor 300 comprises brazing using a braze material 615 in a preformed braze-groove 614 located in the unitary distributor 300. 9. A method of assembling a fuel nozzle 100 according to claim 1 wherein the step of coupling a unitary swirler 200 to the unitary distributor 300 comprises brazing using a braze material in a preformed braze-groove located in the unitary swirler 200. 10. A method of assembling a fuel nozzle 100 according to claim 1 wherein the step of coupling the adaptor 250 to a stem housing 83 comprises brazing using a braze material 253 in a preformed braze-groove 252 located in the adaptor 250. 11. A method of assembling a fuel nozzle 100 according to claim 1 wherein the step of coupling the unitary distributor 300 to the stem housing 83 comprises brazing using a braze material 353 in a preformed braze-groove 352 located in the unitary distributor 300. 12. A method of assembling a fuel nozzle 100 according to claim 1 wherein the step of coupling a centerbody 450 to the stem housing 83 is performed by welding. 13. A method of assembling a fuel nozzle 100 according to claim 2 wherein the step of coupling a unitary venturi 500 to the unitary distributor 300 comprises brazing using a braze material 505 in a preformed braze-groove 504 located in the unitary venturi 500. 14. A method of assembling a fuel nozzle 100 according to claim 2 wherein the step of coupling a unitary venturi 500 to the unitary swirler 200 comprises brazing using a braze material 565 in a preformed braze-groove 564 located in the unitary venturi 500. 15. A method of assembling a fuel nozzle 100 according to claim 2 wherein the step of coupling a unitary venturi 500 to the unitary distributor 300 further comprises the step of slidably coupling the unitary venturi 500 to the centerbody 450. 16. A method of assembling a fuel nozzle 100 according to claim 3 wherein the step of coupling the stem housing 83 to a valve housing 99 comprises brazing. 17. A method of assembling a fuel nozzle 100 comprising the steps of: coupling a pilot assembly 607 to a unitary distributor 300 made using a rapid manufacturing process such that the pilot assembly 607 is in flow communication with a pilot flow passage in the unitary distributor 300; and coupling the unitary distributor 300 to a stem housing 83. 18. A method of assembling a fuel nozzle 100 according to claim 17 wherein the rapid manufacturing process is a laser sintering process. 19. A method of assembling a fuel nozzle 100 according to claim 17 further comprising the step of coupling a unitary swirler 200 made using a rapid manufacturing process to the unitary distributor 300. 20. A method of assembling a fuel nozzle 100 according to claim 19 wherein the rapid manufacturing process is a laser sintering process. 21. A method of assembling a fuel nozzle 100 according to claim 17 further comprising the step of coupling a unitary venturi 500 made using a rapid manufacturing process to the unitary distributor 300. 22. A method of assembling a fuel nozzle 100 according to claim 21 wherein the rapid manufacturing process is a laser sintering process.
