Disclosed is a cosmetic article comprising a reservoir (6) suitable for containing a cosmetic product such as a mascara. A guide tube (8) extending in a longitudinal direction (L) in the reservoir (6), and an applicator (11) is mounted in longitudinal translation in this tube. The applicator can take a retracted position and a deployed position with respect to the guide tube. The guide tube has a constant internal cross-section, and the applicator (11) has a constant and identical cross-section, except for a functional clearance. The applicator comprises a first smooth longitudinal portion (14) and a second portion (15) comprising a surface suitable for retaining the cosmetic product. The cosmetic article is aesthetic and simple to use, protects the cosmetic product from the air and enables a precise dosing of the delivered product.

1. A cosmetic article including a reservoir (6) adapted to contain a liquid or semi-liquid cosmetic product, a guide tube (8) extending in a longitudinal direction (L) in said reservoir (6), and an applicator (11) mounted movable in longitudinal translation in said guide tube (8) between a retracted position in which the applicator (11) is contained in whole or in part in the guide tube (8) and a deployed position in which a portion of the applicator (11) which is contained in the guide tube (8) in the retracted position has emerged from one end (13) of the guide tube (8), the applicator (11) including a first smooth longitudinal portion (14), and a second portion (15) having a surface adapted to retain said cosmetic product, the guide tube (8) having a constant inner cross-section, the first portion of the applicator (11) having a constant and identical cross-section, to within a functional clearance, to the cross-section of the guide tube (8) characterised in that the guide tube (8) includes, in the vicinity of said end (13), at least one lumen (16) allowing the passage of the cosmetic product from the reservoir (6) to the applicator (11) .
2. The cosmetic article according to claim 1, wherein the second portion (15) of the applicator (11) is in whole or in part facing the lumen (16) in the retracted position.
3. The cosmetic article according to one of the preceding claims, wherein the second portion has, on the surface thereof, a pattern, said pattern including for example hollows, and/or grooves.
4. The cosmetic article according to one of the preceding claims, wherein the applicator (11) is metallic.
5. The cosmetic article according to one of claims 1 to 3, wherein the applicator (11) is made of plastic material.
6. The cosmetic article according to claim 1 or claim 2, wherein at least the surface of the second portion consists of a porous material, for example a ceramic or a foam.
7. The cosmetic article according to one of the preceding claims, wherein the applicator (11) has a generally right prismatic shape, or a cylindrical shape of revolution.
8. The cosmetic article according to one of the preceding claims, wherein the functional clearance is comprised between 0.2 microns and 100 microns.
9. The cosmetic article according to one of the preceding claims, wherein the reservoir (6) includes a device for pressurising the product it contains, including for example a piston (17) pushed by an elastic device.
10. The cosmetic article according to one of the preceding claims, including a first return device (22) which tends to bring and maintain the applicator (11) in the deployed position.
11. The cosmetic article according to one of the preceding claims including a sheath (5) in which the reservoir (6) is formed, the reservoir (6) being mounted movable in longitudinal translation in the sheath (5) between a tucked position and an extended position.
12. The cosmetic article according to claim 11, including a second return device (23) interposed between the reservoir (6) and the sheath (5) and which tends to return the reservoir (6) to the tucked position and wherein the applicator being in the deployed position, the reservoir (6) can be brought into the extended position by translation in the longitudinal direction, the applicator being in abutment and fixed relative to the sheath, so as to cause a relative movement between the reservoir (6) and the applicator (11) which brings the applicator (11) into the retracted position relative to the reservoir (6).
13. The cosmetic article according to claim 11, wherein the applicator is in the retracted position when the reservoir is in the extended position and wherein the applicator is in the deployed position when the reservoir is in the tucked position.
14. The cosmetic article according to one of the preceding claims, including a removable cap (2), the placement of the cap on the cosmetic article pressing the applicator (11) to bring it into the retracted position.
15. The cosmetic article according to claim 11, wherein the reservoir (6) is removably mounted relative to the sheath (5) .
