摘要:
Methods and systems for color printing and a printed three-dimensional object are provided. The three-dimensional object which is printed onto a surface of an article for example comprising: a lower color graphic layer printed onto the article; one or more transparent structural layers printed onto the lower color graphic layer; and an upper color graphic layer printed onto an upper-most layer of the one or more inner transparent structural layers, wherein the upper color graphic layer and the lower color graphic layer collectively visually depict a color graphic image.
技术问题语段:
The patent is about printing graphic layers onto apparel and footwear using UV-curable ink. The technical problem addressed by the patent is how to efficiently and accurately print onto fabric and other materials using different types of ink and printers, to create visually appealing designs and protective layers.
技术功效语段:
The patent is about a system and method for printing UV-curable graphic layers on apparel and footwear using printers or plotters. The system can deposit layers of acrylic resin ink, polyurethane ink, TPU ink or silicone ink on fabrics or other articles. The system can also include a printing device with CMYK printing capabilities. The printed graphics can be used for decorative purposes or to enhance the functionality of the article. The process involves depositing a first print material onto a substrate, curing it, and then dispensing a second print material onto the substrate to form a lower color graphic layer. The printed graphics can be applied to articles made of fabric, leather, synthetic leather, or plastic. The technical effects of this patent include the ability to print intricate graphics on apparel and footwear using UV-curable ink and the creation of protective layers that can withstand abrasion and water.
权利要求:

A three-dimensional object (1210; 1305; 2002) printed onto a surface of an article, the three-dimensional object (1210; 1305; 2002) comprising: a lower color graphic layer (620; 1320; 1804; 2004) printed onto the article; one or more transparent structural layers (1104; 1322; 1806; 2006) printed onto the lower color graphic layer (620; 1320; 1804; 2004); and an upper color graphic layer (1208; 1324; 1808; 2010) printed onto an uppermost layer of the one or more inner transparent structural layers (620; 1320; 1804; 2004), wherein the upper color graphic layer (1208; 1324; 1808; 2010) and the lower color graphic layer (620; 1320; 1804; 2004) collectively visually depict a color graphic image.
2. A three-dimensional object (2100) printed onto a surface of an article, the three-dimensional object (2100) comprising: a lower color graphic layer (2102) printed onto the article; one or more inner transparent structural layers (2104) printed onto the lower color graphic layer; an intermediate color graphic layer (2106) printed onto an uppermost layer of the one or more inner transparent structural layers; one or more outer transparent structural layers (2108) printed onto the intermediate color graphic layer; and an upper color graphic layer (2110) printed onto an uppermost layer of the one or more outer transparent structural layers, wherein the upper color graphic layer (2110), the intermediate color graphic layer (2106), and the lower color graphic layer (2102) collectively visually depict a color graphic image.
3. The three-dimensional object of claim 1 or 2, further comprising: a white layer (1702) printed onto a non-white substrate (1612) of the article below the lower color graphic layer; or a transparent base layer (2116) printed onto the article below the lower color graphic layer.
4. The three-dimensional object as in any one of claims 1-3, wherein the lower color graphic layer comprises one or more pigments different than one or more pigments of the upper color graphic layer.
5. The three-dimensional object as in any one of claims 1-4, further comprising a protective transparent layer (1508; 1908; 2112) printed onto the upper color graphic layer.
6. The three-dimensional object as in any one of claims 1-5, wherein a first portion (722) of the lower color graphic layer has a different composition of print material than a second portion (924) of the lower color graphic layer.
7. The three-dimensional object as in any one of claims 1-6, wherein the article is an article of footwear.
8. The three-dimensional object of claim 7, wherein the surface of the article is an upper of the article of footwear.
9. The three-dimensional object as in any one of claims 1-6, wherein the article is an article of apparel.
