摘要:
A body (10) is disclosed for obscuring a light source arrangement (3). The body comprises a surface (20) including a plurality of optically reflective relief structures (30, 30', 30"), each relief structure comprising a first portion (31) and a second portion (33) adjacent to said first portion extending from said surface, wherein the first portion has a different optical reflectivity to the second portion and neighboring optically reflective relief structures are separated by an optically transparent medium contacting said neighboring optically reflective relief structures. Also disclosed is a luminaire comprising such a body and a method of manufacturing such a body.
技术问题语段:
The technical problem addressed by this patent is the need to hide light sources from direct view to improve aesthetic appearance and avoid glare. This is typically achieved by using an optically reflective body that alters the luminous distribution of the light source, such as a closed or open body like a lamp shade or panel. The patent also discusses controlling the angular dependence of the appearance of the body, either to maintain a visual color quality or add interest to it. Prior art documents that relate to this technical problem are also reviewed.
技术功效语段:
The patent describes a way to create a body that gives a unique appearance based on its viewing angle. The body has special structures on its surface that reflect light in interesting ways. The body can be made using a 3D printing method. This creates a new way to create luminaires with a unique appearance. The technical effects of this patent are a new way to create interesting and unique lighting fixtures.
权利要求:

A body (10) comprising a surface (20), wherein the surface (20) comprises a first optically reflective relief structure (30) and a second optically reflective relief structure, each of the first and second optically reflective relief structures (30) comprising a first portion (31) and an adjacent second portion (33) extending from said surface (20), the first portion (31) having a different optical reflectivity to the second portion (33), wherein the first and second optically reflective relief structures (30) are separated by an optically transparent medium contacting the first and second optically reflective relief structures (30), wherein the first portion (31) of the first optically reflective relief structure (30) faces the second portion (33) of the second optically reflective relief structure, wherein the surface (20) further comprises an optically reflective intermediate surface portion (21) in between the first and second optically reflective relief structures (30), and characterized in that the intermediate surface portion (21) comprises a first region (25) and an adjacent second region (23), the first region (25) of the intermediate surface portion (21) being proximal to and having the same optical reflectivity as the first portion (31) of the first optically reflective relief structure (30), and the second region (23) of the intermediate surface portion (21) being proximal to and having the same optical reflectivity as the second portion (33) of the second optically reflective relief structure.
2. The body (10) of claim 1, wherein the optically transparent medium is an optically transparent polymer material or air.
3. The body (10) of claim 1 or 2, wherein the first portion (31) and the second portion (33) have different colours.
4. The body (10) of any of claims 1-3, wherein the first optically reflective relief structure (30) has a different heights than the second optically reflective relief structures (30").
5. The body (10) of any of claims 1-4, wherein each optically reflective relief structure (30, 30', 30") has a height to width ratio of at most 10.
6. The body (10) of claim 1, wherein the first region (25) and the second region (23) have different widths.
7. The body (10) of claim 1, wherein said intermediate surface portion (21) has a colour different to the first (31) and second portions (33) of said first and second optically reflective relief structures (30).
8. The body (10) of any of claims 1-7, wherein the body (10) comprises a plurality of repeating units (50), each defined by an optically reflective relief structure (30) and an adjacent intermediate surface portion (21).
