摘要:
An article of footwear, comprising: an upper having a longitudinal direction extending along a length of the upper and a lateral direction extending along a width of the upper; a first tubular structure forming a first tunnel that extends in the longitudinal direction along the upper, the first tubular structure including a first intermediate portion that is attached to the upper and includes a first surface with a plurality of openings extending to the first tunnel; a first tensile strand extending through the first tunnel of the first tubular structure; a second tensile strand extending over a top portion of the upper and engaging with the first tensile strand through at least one of the plurality of the first openings; and wherein applying tension to one of the first tensile strand or the second tensile strand also applies tension to the other one of the first and second tensile strands.
技术问题语段:
The patent text discusses articles of footwear, specifically the upper and sole structure. Footwear generally has an upper and a sole structure, with the upper being a stitched or bonded material that forms a void for the foot. The sole structure is attached to the upper and positioned between the foot and the ground. In some cases, this structure includes an insole, midsole, and outsole. The technical problem addressed in the patent text is guiding the design of articles of footwear to provide comfort, secure fitting, and proper distribution of forces across the foot.
技术功效语段:
The present invention relates to articles of footwear with an upper and a sole structure. The article of footwear includes a tubular structure conforming to the upper and a midsole and outsole positioned between the foot and the ground. The invention provides various methods for creating the tubular structure, including sewing or adhesively bonding the materials together. The article of footwear can also include a tensile strand for applying tension to the tubular structure. The technical effects of the invention include improved comfort, improved fit, and improved stability and support for the foot.
权利要求:
1. An article of footwear, comprising: an upper having a longitudinal direction extending along a length of the upper (102) and a lateral direction extending along a width of the upper (102); a first tubular structure forming a first tunnel that extends in the longitudinal direction along the upper (102), the first tubular structure including a first intermediate portion that is attached to the upper and includes a first surface with a plurality of openings extending to the first tunnel; a first tensile strand (160) extending through the first tunnel of the first tubular structure; a second tensile strand (182) extending over a top portion of the upper (102) and engaging with the first tensile strand (160) through at least one of the plurality of the first openings; and wherein applying tension to one of the first tensile strand (160) or the second tensile strand (182) also applies tension to the other one of the first and second tensile strands (160; 182).
2. The article of footwear of claim 1, wherein the first tunnel extends in the longitudinal direction along a first side of the upper (102); and/or wherein the first intermediate portion (146) of the first tubular structure (140) is disposed between a first end (142) and a second end (144) of the tubular structure (140); and/or wherein the first tunnel extends between a forefoot portion and a heel portion of the article of footwear.
3. The article of footwear of claim 1 or 2, wherein the second tensile strand extends in a lateral direction over a top portion of the upper (102), and/or wherein the second tensile strand has a first portion attached to an attachment region of the article of footwear; and/or wherein the second tensile strand has a second portion configured to engage with the first tensile strand.
4. The article of footwear of any one of claims 1-3, wherein a portion of the first tensile strand extends through at least one of the plurality of openings in the tubular structure to engage the second portion of the second tensile strand.
5. The article of footwear (100) of any one of the preceding claims, wherein the upper (102) has a medial side and a lateral side, the first side of the upper (102) is the medial side of the upper (102), and the second tensile strand (182) extends in the lateral direction from the medial side to the lateral side.
6. The article of footwear (100) of claim 5, wherein further comprising a third tensile strand engaging with the first tensile strand (160) through at least one of the plurality of first openings, the third tensile strand extending from the first tensile strand (160) downward to an attachment region of the article of footwear (100); and, optionally, wherein the attachment region is part of the sole structure.
7. The article of footwear (100) of any one of claims 1-6, further comprising a second tubular structure defining a second tunnel that extends in the longitudinal direction along a second side of the upper (102), the second tubular structure including a second intermediate portion that is attached to the upper (102) and includes a second surface with a plurality of second openings extending to a second tunnel, wherein the first tensile strand (160) extends through the second tunnel of the second tubular structure, and the second tensile strand (182) engages with the first tensile strand (160) through at least one of the plurality of second openings.
8. The article of footwear (100) of claim 7, wherein the first tubular structure is coupled to the second tubular structure by a third tubular structure that defines a third tunnel that extends laterally from the first side to the second side, and the first tensile strand (160) extends through the first tunnel, the second tunnel, and the third tunnel.
9. The article of footwear (100) of claim 8, wherein the third tubular structure extends laterally from the first side to the second side at a front portion of the article of footwear (100); or wherein the third tubular structure extends laterally from the first side to the second side at a heel portion area of the article of footwear (100).
10. The article of footwear (100) of any one of claims 1-6, wherein the second tensile strand (182) engages with the first tensile strand (160) through more than one of the plurality of first openings and through more than one of the plurality of first openings.
