A dust separator for separating and collecting, from a stream of gas, dust particles suspended in the stream of gas while the stream of gas is in motion towards a vacuum source, the dust separator comprising: a vacuum port configured to be connected to the vacuum source; a cyclone chamber, the cyclone chamber having an input port and an exit path, wherein the cyclone chamber has a parabolic shape; a tube in communication with the vacuum port and an upper end of the cyclone chamber; the input port configured to be connected to a dust source, wherein the input port is formed in an upper portion of the cyclone chamber; and a dust receptacle comprising: an upper portion of the dust receptacle, the upper portion including a top upper surface; a dump-port in the upper portion of the dust receptacle, the dump-port adapted to empty the dust receptacle of collected dust particles; and a lower portion of the dust receptacle configured for collection of dust particles, the lower portion of the dust receptacle is substantially cylindrical, and wherein the top upper surface slants downward from the cyclone chamber to the dump-port; wherein the dust separator includes a dump-port cover configured to seal the dump-port formed in the top upper surface of the dust receptacle; wherein the dust separator includes a tube support configured to prevent deflection of the tube; and a plurality of casters connected to the lower portion of the dust receptacle, wherein the cyclone chamber is located vertically above the dump-port; and
2. CA 03191111 2023- 2- 24 WO 2022/047185 PCT/US2021/047997 wherein at least the cyclone chamber, a portion of the cyclone chamber exit path, and the dust receptacle are integrally formed. 2. The dust separator of claim 1, wherein the tube is substantially rigid.
3. The dust separator of claim 2, wherein the vacuum port comprises a tee connector connected to the substantially rigid tube.
4. The dust separator of claim 1, wherein at least a portion of the dump- port cover is substantially transparent.
5. The dust separator of clairn 1, wherein the dump-port cover is threaded onto a threaded lip integrally formed in the top upper surface.
6. The dust separator of claim 5, wherein contents of the dust receptacle can be observed through dump-port cover when it is threaded onto the top upper surface.
7. A dust separator for separating and collecting, from a stream of gas, dust particles suspended in the stream of gas while the stream of gas is in motion towards a vacuum source, the dust separator comprising: a vacuurn port configured to be connected to the vacuum source; a cyclone chamber, the cyclone chamber having an input port and an exit path, the input port is formed in an upper portion of the cyclone chamber; and a dust receptacle comprising: an upper portion of the dust receptacle, the upper portion including a top CA 03191111 2023- 2- 24 WO 2022/047185 PCT/US2021/047997 upper surface; a dump-port in the upper portion of the dust receptacle, the dump-port configured to empty the dust receptacle of collected dust particles; and a lower portion of the dust receptacle configured for collection of dust particles, and wherein the dust separator includes a dump-port cover configured to seal the dump-port formed in the top upper surface of the dust receptacle; wherein at least a portion of the cyclone chamber is located vertically above the dump-port.
8. The dust separator of claim 7, further comprising a substantially rigid tube in communication with the vacuum port and an upper end of the cyclone chamber.
9. The dust separator of claim 8, wherein the substantially rigid tube comprises standard 1.5 inch diameter PVC pipe.
10. The dust separator of claim 9, wherein the dust separator includes a tube support configured to prevent deflection of the substantially rigid tube.
11. The dust separator of claim 10, wherein the vacuum port comprises a tee connector connected to the tube.
12. The dust separator of claim 7, wherein at least a portion of the dump- port cover is substantially transparent.
13. The dust separator of claim 7, wherein at least the cyclone chamber, a portion of the cyclone chamber exit path, and the dust receptacle are integrally formed. CA 03191111 2023- 2- 24 WO 2022/047185 PCT/US2021/047997
14. The dust separator of claim 7, wherein the cyclone chamber has a parabolic shape.
15. The dust separator of claim 7, wherein the cyclone chamber has a conical shape.
16. The dust separator of claim 7, wherein the lower portion of the dust receptacle is substantially cylindrical.
17. A parabolic cyclone chamber for separating, from a stream of gas, particles suspended in the stream of gas while the stream of gas is in motion towards a vacuum source, the parabolic cyclone chamber comprising: a bottom having an opening; an upper surface; a curved sidewall connecting the bottom to the upper surface, the curved sidewall having an inflection point; a entry path in a top portion of the cyclone chamber; an exit path extending through the upper surface of the cyclone chamber; and a diverter wall sloping downward from the upper surface of the cyclone chamber toward and below the entry path; wherein the parabolic cyclone chamber has a diameter at the bottom of the cyclone chamber "A"; a diameter at the widest portion of cyclone chamber "B"; and a diameter at the inflection point "ID".
18. The parabolic cyclone chamber of claim 17, wherein ratio of the diameter of the bottom of the cyclone charnber "A" to the diameter at the widest portion of cyclone chamber "B" in the range of about 1:1.9 to about 1:2.7. CA 03191111 2023- 2- 24 WO 2022/047185 PCT/US2021/047997
19. The parabolic cyclone chamber of claim 17, wherein the ratio of the diameter of the bottom of the cyclone chamber "A" to the diameter at the inflection point of cyclone chamber "ID" is in the range of about 1:1.7 to about 1:2.5.
20. The parabolic cyclone chamber of claim 17, wherein ratio of the diameter at the inflection point of cyclone chamber "ID" to the diameter at the widest portion of cyclone chamber "B" is in the range of about 1:0.9 to about 1:1.3. CA 03191111 2023- 2- 24
